June 21, Temecula

We set a baptismal date for this guy named Todd.  He has tattoos all over him loves to smoke and drink. He's a way cool guy though. We had a lesson yesterday with him and he finally just said "K I'll give it a shot. I'll read and pray every day for one month.  If I don't get an answer, then I'm done."  So we told him OK.  Then, we set a baptismal date for him. He said "K, cool."  It was so sweet!!!  That's just one of the cool things that happened this week!!

6/14/2011, Temecula

Thank you guys so much for everything that you have done!!! This week in the mission has been good.  Elder Sharp is the district leader now. We didn’t get transferred this transfer.  Only one Elder got transferred and another has finished up his mission, so, he’s going home tomorrow.

Some things that have been interesting this week? Um, well we stopped by this house and found out that the dad was a preacher for his job.  Yeah, we didn’t know till we sat down and he wouldn’t let us talk at all.  We were there for about an hour.  We were stuck.  Yeah it wasn’t that much fun at all. He said the Book of Mormon isn’t true at all.  Then we said, ”Have u read it?”  He said, “no” then that was it, basically.  I finally had enough with the guy telling us that we were wrong and everything. So I just interrupted him and bore my testimony about the Book of Mormon.  I said we could be here arguing all night but we aren’t going to go any where because u won’t read the Book of Mormon.  “How will you ever know it’s true?”  So, then we got up and walked out of his house!  That’s just one of the many experiences I have had this week!  How’s dad doing?  Love ya tons.  Here are some picts

6/7/11 Temecula

The mission is going good!! Its been the hardest thing I've ever done, just because I don't feel worthy to be out here some days.  Other days its been a blast!  Its weird.

That's way cool to hear about Joe!  You'll be a great missionary!!!

One cool experience I had this week was when we went over to a members house.  On the way home we stopped by a house out by the Indian reservation. The family is way cool way nice and knows alot about the church.  We talked to them for about an hour and have a return appointment.  When we were biking home the dogs that live on the Indian reservation got out and were chasing us.  They're so stinkin fast!!! I couldnt believe it!! They finally gave up and turned around.

It's so cool out here.  Temecula is a pretty town,  really homey and country like.  Every one is really nice, most of the time!!

One cool thing I found out when I was on exchange, was that Metal Mulisha's compound is in Temecula.  We could see them riding their dirt bikes and flying through the air.  It was pretty dang cool!!!  It made me want to ride mine.  Oh yeah, mine's not working.  Ha Ha, dang it!!!

The weather down here is always sunny.  It's only rained twice so far!!!   Its been pretty dang nice!!! The mission is fun!!!

This last Sunday, we had one of our investigator family's come to church.  Every one in the church wanted to welcome them in.  They loved it!!  The oldest daughter (11 years old) stayed for the whole time and went home with members that live right by them.  It was so sweet to see how the ward welcomed them in and made it a good experience for them!!

Well g2g love you guys!!
Thanks you guys for all the support u guys have given me!!!

Temecula, May 31, 2011

One cool experience happened just last night.  I was on an exchange with another Elder named Elder Kim.  We got back to the church to switch back with our regular comps.  Then me and Elder Sharp went off to dinner at a members house.  It was way good!!!  After that we went tracting and found this 21 year old sitting out front of his house. He has been having problems with his family and didn’t know what to do.  So, we talked to him and taught him a little about the Book of Mormon and how it can help him out with these problems and to pray about it.  It was really cool. You could tell that the kid was struggling in life and needed help.

After that, we had a feeling to stop by a members’ house to find out what members lived around them. They invited us in and to eat with them so we did.  We talked and had a great time there.  Just before we were getting up to go, the wife asked us a question “DO U EVER FEEL LIKE YOU’RE INSPIRED?"  I said “yes.”  Then she asked, “Do you Elders feel like you were inspired to come over tonight?”  Then Elder Sharp told her about our day and why we choose to come over there. Then she said last week, when we met with the family, we taught a lesson about Alma. That next Sunday she was giving a lesson in Relief Society and it ended up being about Alma and what we taught her family. She said it gave her good confidence in teaching the lesson. Next she said she asked her husband for a blessing earlier that day, but the husband was out of oil.  Then we showed up at the house. The spirit was soooooooooo strong!  It is one memory I will always remember for my life.  The lord truly does put you in places you need to be in. It was so sweeettttt!!! That’s just one of many of experiences I have had lately.
